On May 17, 2005, the company was awarded an exclusive contract to provide solid waste and organics, leaf & yard waste, bulky material collection and multi-residential front-end container service for over 83,000 households and 40,000 multi residential units in the City of Hamilton.

On March 31, 2008 the company began an exclusive contract to provide recycling collection services for the City of Hamilton. National Waste Services will provide recycling collection services to over 180,000 residential homes and 40,000 multi-residential units.
